Indents for stores from England were estimated at $1 Is. 3d. but were paid for at rates ranging from $1 11 d. to $1 1/4.9/16d. Economies were effected but these were insufficient to meet the difference and the vote is now $82.02 overspent. A supplementary vote for $83 is requested.

A supplementary vote of $863.00 is requested to meet the difference between the estimated and actual cost for the fitting of the body to Thornycroft Motor Chassis. The total cost of this emergency unit amounted to $10,662.82.
(C.S.O. 2640/18).
The Supplementary Vote approved under Message No. 10 of 28.10.31 proved to be insufficient. There has been an unusual demand for revenue stamps as is shewn by the revenue of $3,679,087 for 1931 as compared with $2,910,508 for 1930 collected through the Stamp Office.
